The shocking news that General Hospital's Nikolas Cassadine is alive is proving to be just the kind of thing to keep the good times rolling in Port Charles. Not only has the reveal given fans weeks of exciting storyline, but it's also set to bring about the return of Spencer Cassadine.
Nicolas Bechtel is reportedly reprising his role as Nikolas' sassy and assertive son the week of January 20. Rumors of the young actor's return began swirling the moment Marcus Coloma stepped into the shoes of the senior Cassadine, and fans have been looking forward to the father/son reunion ever since. But the question is how will Spencer handle his father's resurrection?
Bechtel took on the role of GH's Spencer in 2013 but left the show in 2016 to focus on his role as Lewie Diaz on Disney Channel's Stuck in the Middle (which has since been canceled). He has made a couple of return appearances since that time, last being seen on the canvas in February of 2019.
UPDATE: Since our article was first posted earlier today, Bechtel took to social media to confirm his return. The young actor confessed that it was really hard not to spill the beans about his GH homecoming.
