Fans of The Young and the Restless' Michael Damian (ex-Danny Romalotti) are sending their condolences to the actor, as his mother, Maria Angela, has passed away.
Damian first shared news of his mother's failing health on October 23, when he asked his social media community to please send their positive thoughts her way.
"Dearest friends, I am sad to say my mothers health is not doing well and she needs prayers," he wrote. "If you have a moment please include mom Maria Angela in your prayers. I can't thank you enough for your support and love you all very much! God bless."
Damian gave several updates over the course of the following days, and it seemed as if her condition was improving. But very sadly, he shared the news today that she has died.
"My dearest friends, mom i[s] united with God," he wrote. "Thank you for your continued prayers for her and our family. God bless you all."
Damian originated the role of Y&R's Danny in 1981 and has played the character on-again, off-again since that time. Nowadays, his focus is mostly on directing and producing. Together with his wife, Janeen, he is behind the film High Strung and its sequel, High Strung Free Dance. His latest film is a Christmas movie called Much Ado About Christmas, which is set to premiere this Saturday, October 30, on GAC Family.
