Ridge continues to beg Brooke to go back to him and he tries to kiss her, but Brooke pulls away. Brooke then tells Ridge that she doesn't trust him, but she will always love him. Brooke tells Ridge again not to hurt Donna. After Brooke leaves, Donna walks in and tells Ridge that he is a liar, but Ridge explains to Donna that Brooke chose Nick. At Taylor's house, Stephanie tells Hector that he is not right for Taylor but that Taylor and Thorne will be happy. Thorne tells Taylor that it isn't a good idea that Hector has moved in with her because he has a crush on her. On Nick's boat, a devastated Nick tells Bridget that Donna saw Brooke and Ridge kissing. Bridget comforts Nick as he drinks to escape the hurt he feels. Nick removes his wedding ring and they kiss as the passion reunites between them.
Nick spent the night in bed with Bridget after he went on an alcoholic binge on learning about Brooke and Ridge kissing. Bridget told Nick their liaison didn't mean he had to end his marriage to her mother.
Brooke told Donna that Ridge didn't come home last night and that she could not reach him by phone. She expressed regret at how she treated Nick and wasn't surprised he was angry at her. Donna was about inform Brooke that she told Nick she saw Brooke and Ridge kissing when Nick walked in and shooed Donna out. He returned his wedding ring to Brooke, told her it was over and begged her to go back to Ridge for everybody's sake.
Bridget went home and mooned over her and Nick's wedding photos and the mementos of their deceased baby and whispered that she and Nick might get back together. Brooke begged Nick's forgiveness and said he's the only man she can trust. Nick told her it's too late, and there was something he needed to tell her about last night.
Nick unsuccessfully tries to tell Brooke what happened the night before between him and Bridget. Brooke interrupts him from his explanation, and then slips Nick's ring back onto his finger. The two embrace and promise each other never to let one another down again. Nick then goes over to see an excited Bridget and informs her that he and Brooke have agreed to start over. A devastated Bridget tries to get Nick to come back to her. Christian pays a visit to a recuperating Hector. Hector informs his brother that he has feelings for Taylor, but now he is concerned that Thorne has developed feelings for Taylor as well. Taylor admits to Thorne that she has no feelings for Hector, while Thorne admits he feels that Darla is telling him it's okay to pursue a relationship with Taylor.
